Answer:

The shortest side has length 24 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Try this:  3x + 4x + 5x =96 ft, or

               12x = 96 ft

Then x = (96 ft) / 12, or x = 8

Multiplying this factor 8 by 3, we get 24. The shortest side has length 24 ft.

The middle-length side is 4(8), or 32.

The longest side is 5(8), or 40.

Check: Do 40 and 32 and 24 add up to 96 ft?

             do 72 and 24 add up to 96 ft?

                            Yes.

Karolina [17]
We have that

(v+6)^2 = 324-----> I raise to 1/2 both members----> [(v+6)^2]^(1/2)=(324)^(1/2)[(v+6)]=(324)^(1/2)-------------> v+6=√324
v=√324-6---------> 18-6=12
v=12

the answer is v=12

Solve the system of linear equations by graphing.
y=-x+4.
y= 2x – 8
drek231 [11]

Step-by-step explanation:

suppose,x=1,2 .so y=1+4=5,2+4=6...eq..(I)

and y=2×1-8=-6,y=2*×2-8=-4

now plot in graph where they intercept with each other i.e x and y

I could plot but it's difficult here..and remember u can suppose any point as x for y

Please help and show work!!
IrinaK [193]

we are given

y-7=-(x+1)

Firstly, we will distribute negative sign on right side

y-7=-x-1

Since, we have to move both x and y on anyone side

so, we will add x on both sides

y-7+x=-x-1+x

y-7+x=-1

now, we add 7 on both sides

y-7+x+7=-1+7

y+x=6

x+y=6.................Answer
