The volume of the pond is 48 cubic feet: 6 * 4 * 2 = 48
There is 62 pounds per cubic foot, so you multiply 62 and 48
62 * 48 = 2976.
There is 2976 pounds of water in the pound.

I need to use Multi-Step function inverse to find the following:
dexar [7]

<u>Answer</u>:

f^{-1}(x) = \sqrt[5]{\frac{x+7}{9} -10}

<u>Explanation</u>:

given : f(x) = 9( x^5 + 10 ) - 7

replace x and y with each other.

  • x = 9( y^5 + 10 ) - 7

solve for y

  • x + 7 = 9( y^5 + 10 )
  • ( y^5 + 10 ) = \frac{x + 7}{9}
  • y^5 + 10 = \frac{x + 7}{9}
  • y^5 = \frac{x + 7}{9} - 10
  • y = \sqrt[5]{\frac{x+7}{9} -10}

Therefore,

  • f^{-1}(x) = \sqrt[5]{\frac{x+7}{9} -10}

Distance Between Two Ships Two ships leave the same port at noon. Ship A sails north at 14 mph, and ship B sails east at 18 mph.
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

c = 22.8 miles/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

The ship A sails north at the rate of 14 mile per hour , it represent the opposite side of a triangle. Ship B start at the same point and move east at the rate of 18 miles per hour, it represent the adjacent side.

The other rate telling you how fast the distance between them are changing can be computed using the Pythagorean theorem, since the change in time is 1 hour. From 12 noon to 1 pm.

c = ?

a = 14

b = 18

c² = a² + b²

c² = 14² + 18²

c² = 196  + 324

c² = 520

c = √520

c = 22.803508502

c = 22.8 miles/hr

A model rocket is launched from the ground.
Alina [70]
A)
rate of change from A to B = 48-0 / 1-0 = 48/1 = 48 ( feet per second)

rate of change from B to C = 64 -48 / 2-1 = 16 /1 = 16 ( feet per second)

B)  the rate from A to B is greater. This tells me gravity starting acting on the rocket and started slowing it down

Can some one explain simplify and show me how to do it or give me a example
nika2105 [10]
When simplifying you need to be able to divide both the top and bottom number in the fraction by one of their factors. A number will be fully simplified when they become a prime number or have one as the numerator.

Franklin has three coins, two fair coins (head on one side and tail on the other side) and one two-headed coin. He randomly pick
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

<h2>  B and C are not independent events </h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a probability question, basically on independent events.

B and C are said to be independent if the occurrence of either event does not affect the occurrence of the other.

And now considering the fact that C will always present a head any way anyhow, the occurrence

of C will affect the outcome of B and C.

<em>Hence B and C are not independent events</em>
