Which of the following values cannot represent the side length of a triangle?
MissTica
The answer would be <span>6.5.12

A triangle couldn't be made if the total sum of the two shortest side is less than the longest side. In this case, the two shortest side would be 5 and 6. The longest side would be 12.
If you try to add the two lowest side, the result would be 5+6=11. That means even if you make the triangle with 179.99 degrees that the 5 and 6 look like a straight line, the longest side it can achieve is 11.</span>

QUESTION.<br> What is an improper fraction? An improper fraction:<br> Does anyone know this?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

An improper fraction is when the numerator of the fraction is larger than the denominator

For example, 13/4 is improper because 13 > 4

An improper fraction can be changed into a mixed number by dividing the numerator by the denominator

For example, 13 divided by 4 is 3 with remainder 1, or 3 1/4

Solve for x: 5/x^2-4+2/x=2/x-2
IRINA_888 [86]

\dfrac{5}{x^2 - 4} + \dfrac{2}{x} = \dfrac{2}{x - 2}

\dfrac{5}{(x + 2)(x - 2)} + \dfrac{2}{x} = \dfrac{2}{x - 2}

\dfrac{5}{(x + 2)(x - 2)} \times x(x + 2)(x - 2) + \dfrac{2}{x} \times x(x + 2)(x - 2) = \dfrac{2}{x - 2} \times x(x + 2)(x - 2)

5x + 2(x + 2)(x - 2) = 2x(x + 2)

5x + 2(x^2 - 4) = 2x^2 + 4x

5x + 2x^2 - 8 = 2x^2 + 4x

5x - 8 = 4x

x - 8 = 0

x = 8

Now we look at the common denominator.

It is x(x + 2)(x - 2).

x cannot be zero, -2 or 2 because that would cause a zero in the denominator.

Since we get x = 8, and x = 8 does not have to be excluded from the domain, the answer is x = 8.

Help me!!!! And please provide steps w/ answer!!
Anvisha [2.4K]
1. Box off the squares (which you did)
2. Solve the area of the squares: (10cm x 10cm = 100cm each square)
3. Solve the area of the rectangle that is left: (you would do 40cm x 10cm since the other 10cm went with the square. The rectangle should end up to be 400cm.
4. Add the areas: 100cm + 100cm +400cm = 600cm
600cm is the answer
