Volume of the cone = \frac{1}{3}  \pi  x^{2} h

Given that the <span>volume is 180 cubic inches
</span>\frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h = 180

Given that the radius is 6m
\frac{1}{3} \pi 6^{2} h = 180

Evaluate
\frac{1}{3} \pi (36) h =  180
12\pi h =  180
h =  180  ÷ (12 \pi)
h = 4.77  ≈ 5 inches (Answer A)

snow_lady [41]

Step-by-step explanation:

3x - 2y = 12

Substituting y = 9, we find:

3x - 2 \times 9 = 12 \\  \therefore \: 3x - 18 = 12 \\ \therefore \: 3x  = 12 + 18  \\ \therefore \: 3x  = 30 \\ \therefore \: x  =  \frac{30}{3} \\ \therefore \: x  = 10 \\  \therefore \: A (...., 9) = A (10, \: 9)

Similarly, solving for point B (4, __) =B (4, 0)

Y = 2x - 8 3x - 2y = 13
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

{x,y} = {3,-2}

Step-by-step explanation:

// Solve equation [1] for the variable  y

 [1]    y = 2x - 8

// Plug this in for variable  y  in equation [2]

  [2]    3x - 2•(2x-8) = 13

  [2]    -x = -3

// Solve equation [2] for the variable  x

  [2]    x = 3

// By now we know this much :

   x = 3

   y = 2x-8

// Use the  x  value to solve for  y

   y = 2(3)-8 = -2

Solution :

{x,y} = {3,-2}
