The volume formula for a cylinder is :
V= (pi)(r^2)(h)
So r= d/2 where d = 16mm so r= 8mm h is given as equaling 5.7mm
Now just plug it into the formula.
V=(pi)(8^2)(5.7) = 364.8 pi mm = 1146.053mm

Addition of unlike fractions 5/3 + 7/4
Maru [420]

Answer:

\boxed{ \bold{ \huge{ \boxed{ \sf{3 \frac{5}{12}}}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\star{ \sf{ \:  \:  \frac{5}{3}  +  \frac{7}{4}}}

Convert the given fractions into like fractions.

To do so, Take the L.C.M ( Least Common Multiple ) of 3 and 4.

To find out the L.C.M of given numbers,

First of all, find the prime factors of each numbers.

3 = 3 × 1

4 = 2 × 2 × 1

Take out the common prime factor i.e 1

Also take out the other remaining prime factors i.e 2 , 2 and 3

Now, multiply those all prime factors and obtain L.C.M

= 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 12

L.C.M of 3 and 4 = 12

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{ \frac{5 \times 4 + 7 \times 3}{12}}}

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{ \frac{20 + 21}{12}}}

Add the numbers : 20 and 21

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{ \frac{41}{12}}}

Convert the improper fraction into mixed fraction

\dashrightarrow{  \boxed{\sf{3 \frac{5}{12} }}}

Remember : While performing the addition or subtraction of unlike fractions, you have to express the given fractions into equivalent fractions of common denominator and add or subtract as we do with like fractions. Thus , obtained fractions should be reduced into lowest terms if there are any common on numerator and denominator. But in case of improper fraction, it needs to be deduced on mixed fraction.

Hope I helped!

Best Regards!
