Answer:

Length of grey rod is \frac{1}{4}th of the white rod.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of each black rod = b units

Length of 2 black rods = 2b

Length of each grey rod will be = g units

Length of 3 grey rods = 3g

Since, length of 2 black rods = length of 3 grey rods

2b = 3g ----- (1)

Length white rod = Length of 2 black rods + Length of 3 grey rods

                         w = 2b + 3g

From the equation (1),

w = 2b + 2b

   = 4b

b = \frac{w}{4}

Therefore, length of grey rod is \frac{1}{4}th of the white rod .

Solve 4X^2+7 = 8X +4 by using the quadratic formula
Sergio [31]

Answer:

(1.5,0)

(.5,0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Quadratic formula below

We first need to move everything to one side of the equation

4x²-8x+3=0

Then plug everything in

(8±√(-8²-4*4*3))/(2*4)

(8±√16)/8

To calculate the ± we need to do when where it's adding and then negative

we have

(8+4)/8=3/2

and hten

(8-4)/8=1/2

Write the complex number in polar form:
emmasim [6.3K]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  2√30 ∠-120°

Step-by-step explanation:

The modulus is ...

  √((-√30)² +(-3√10)²) = √(30 +90) = √120 = 2√30

The argument is ...

  arctan(-3√10/-√30) = arctan(√3) = -120° . . . . a 3rd-quadrant angle

The polar form of the number can be written as ...

  (2√30)∠-120°

_____

<em>Additional comments</em>

Any of a number of other formats can be used, including ...

  (2√30)cis(-120°)

  (2√30; -120°)

  (2√30; -2π/3)

  2√30·e^(i4π/3)

Of course, the angle -120° (-2π/3 radians) is the same as 240° (4π/3 radians).

__

At least one app I use differentiates between (x, y) and (r; θ) by the use of a semicolon to separate the modulus and argument of polar form coordinates. I find that useful, as a pair of numbers (10.95, 4.19) by itself does not convey the fact that it represents polar coordinates. As you may have guessed, my personal preference is for the notation 10.95∠4.19. (The lack of a ° symbol indicates the angle is in radians.)

Please Help. I will give brainlest to the person who answers this questions right
bija089 [108]
By my calculations and understanding into this problem I have figured out the answer to this thing and it is very simple and easy enough to actually say it so I can type it out instead because I can’t say anything on this thing even though I’m doing a voice record and I don’t even know how my grandma is doing right now so I’m just blah bling around is it random words of mine but honestly I would love to explain and tell you the answer but I do not know how to type it out so I’m just going to say it like I just said two seconds ago but I didn’t really say it again I just typed it I don’t know I keep getting confused with that but anyways the answer is very easy

Use cylindrical coordinates. evaluate x dv e , where e is enclosed by the planes z = 0 and z = x + y + 10 and by the cylinders x
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
In cylindrical coordinates,

\begin{cases}x(X,Y,Z)=X\cos Y\\y(X,Y,Z)=X\sin Y\\z(X,Y,Z)=Z\end{cases}\implies\mathrm dV=\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dz=X\,\mathrm dX\,\mathrm dY\,\mathrm dZ

Then the integral is

\displaystyle\iiint_Ex\,\mathrm dV=\int_{Y=0}^{Y=2\pi}\int_{X=4}^{X=6}\int_{Z=0}^{Z=X\cos Y+X\sin Y+10}X\cos Y\times X\,\mathrm dZ\,\mathrm dX\,\mathrm dY
=\displaystyle\int_{Y=0}^{Y=2\pi}\int_{X=4}^{X=6}(10X^2\cos Y+X^3\cos^2Y+X^3\cos Y\sin Y)\,\mathrm dX\,\mathrm dY
=\displaystyle\int_{Y=0}^{Y=2\pi}\left(\dfrac{1520}3\cos Y+260\cos^2Y+260\cos Y\sin Y\right)\,\mathrm dY=260\pi
