Since a and b have opposite signs then both the product and quotient will be negative. The absolute value of a · b will be greater than the absolute value of \frac{a}{b}.

Without the absolute value sign, then since both the product and the quotient are negative, a · b < \frac{a}{b}

Answer: the product is less than the quotient

A spheres radius is multiplied by 2. How is it’s surface area affected
dexar [7]

Answer:

The surface area is multiplied by 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

If r is the radius of a sphere its surface area = 4(pi)r^2. If the radius is doubled then its surface area = 4(pi)(2r)^2 = 4*4(pi)r^2. So the surface area becomes 4-fold or the increase in surface area is 300%.
