In what way were the Maya similar to the Aztec and the Inca

A lot of their practices were the same. Their languages were similar and so were the cultures in which they lived in.

You don't have to copy words for words the ancient civilizations of the Americas all had fascinating features, some alike and some different. The Aztec, Maya, and Inca all farmed but had different techniques. The Aztecs built floating gardens while the Maya burnt down forests to plant gardens and the Inca farmed steep areas by building terraces. All three civilizations grew corn, beans, and squash.  The Aztec, Maya, and Inca all worshipped many gods and used human sacrifices in their religions. The Aztecs, however, performed more human sacrifices than the other civilizations and often sacrificed prisoners of war. The Aztecs sacrificed several thousand people to the gods each year, often in brutal ways. All three of these civilizations had advanced technology, including building huge pyramids. The Inca’s greatest advancements included irrigation systems, terraces, and road building. In comparison, the Aztecs developed a calendar and floating gardens. Lastly, the Maya’s technology included writing, math, and their calendar.  As you can see, each of these civilizations had common traits but also a number of features that distinguished them.
