Answer:

C. It is a time in American history from the late 18th century  until the start of the Civil War.

Explanation:

As per the  American history, the Antebellum Period is commonly regarded to be the time before the Civil War and after the Constitution was adopted in 1789. It was associated with the rise of abolition and the country's gradual division between the slavery supporters and abolitionists. The conquest of new territories and western expansion intensified the slavery issue and contributed to the Civil War.

PLEASE HELP
7nadin3 [17]

The crafters of the United States constitution wanted a system of government wherein the people had a voice in their ruling but at the same time, the crafters were worried that the people would rule like a mob without checks and that the majority would persecute the minorities in the country.

Both the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists agreed that there were dangers inherent in the system, which is why the crafters created a system with checks and balances on the lawmaking process and a bicameral legislature with a body, the US Senate, whose job is to ensure that cooler heads always prevail.

This shows the influence of thinkers like Edmund Burke, a British philosopher, who advocated for incremental change.

The cost of this is that things do move slowly and sometimes the legislatures misses the ball. The response to this has been a stronger Executive branch with the power to create temporary executive orders but the process is still slow.

The benefit is an incremental system that has lasted longer than any system of Government in the world.

The question is whether or not America's system can adequately work in a time when new challenges and threats are coming every minute.

World War One left an indelible mark on European and World History, after reading the article on Verdun what technologies create
victus00 [196]
  • World War I was a war that differed from all others before it, in terms of scale, technology and scope. New technologies such as the tank and the use of chemical weapons were developed during this war, which led to the implementation of trenches as a way to avoid such methods. However, the use of trenches made it difficult for battles to be decisive, leading to a lengthening of the war and a stalemate that led to many casualties.
  • European societies were able to wage war on this scale because most of them were empires. They had colonies overseas that were very profitable, and protected from the war. This allowed countries to have a constant influx of wealth that allowed the fight to continue.
  • The impact on European society was massive. The war killed an entire generation of men in many areas of Europe. It also led to animosity between Germany and other countries. Finally, it also encouraged the development of a nihilistic and hedonistic youth during the 1920s.
  • The Treaty of Versailles that ended the war can be strongly linked to the beginning of World War II. Many scholars believe that the terms of the treaty were too harsh to Germany. This created resentment among the German people and government, as well as an economic crisis. These growing problems were used by the Nazi Party to encourage support for the Nazi regime.
