Find the area of the parallelogram below by using the area formulas for rectangles and triangles.
Ilya [14]

Answer: b

Step-by-step explanation:

You know the formula of a triangle is: (base*height)/2

So: 4*8=32

32/2=16cm^2

Since its a parallelogram, you could say that there are two of these triangles, so: 16*2=32cm^2

Now we're left with the part in the middle. The sides are now 8 by 8 because we took away 4 from 12, so: 8*8= 64cm^2

Now you just add all your values together, so: 32+64=96cm^2

Pls help mee at thissss :(<br><br> Write a direct variation equation that relates 16 and 2
shusha [124]

Answer:

16 = 2x

Step-by-step explanation:

The pattern for a direct variation equation is y = kx

y is the "output" or result

k is the "constant" a number that doesn't change in the equation.

x is the "unknown" variable that makes the output of the equation true when found.

Here x=8

16 = 2(8)

Find the value of x in the shown figure
zhannawk [14.2K]
Im not really sure if im right but i think the answer is 140-

Explanation:
I added 30+10 which equalled 40 and then i noticed the circle which would equal 360 and subtracted it from the 40 however that got me more then i needed since it wasnt one of the choices. Then i thought hmm maybe its a supplementary angle which usually equals 180 so i subtracted it from 40 which got me 140! Like i said i dont know if im right or not :(

What is the value of y in the parallelogram below?
tamaranim1 [39]
The sum of the adjacent angles of a parallelogram is always equal to 180°.

So we know that 3y + 108 = 180.

When we simplify that expression: 3y = 72
Isolate the y by divide both sides by 3: y = 24
