Answer:

The answer to your question is Advance = $35 and same-day = $40

Step-by-step explanation:

Advanced = a

Same-day = s

Equations

                       a +     s  = 75               ----- (I)

                  20a + 35s = 2100            ----- (II)

Process

1.- Solve the equations by elimination.

Multiply equation I by -20

                     -20a - 20s = -1500

                      20a + 35s = 2100

Simplify

                        0   + 15s = 600

Solve for s                  s = 600/15

                                    s = $ 40

Substitute "s" in equation I to find "a"

                       a   +   40  = 75

Solve for a

                       a    = 75  - 40

                       a = 35

uysha [10]

Answer:

(2, 14), (5, 12), (8, 10), (11, 8), (14, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets do the math for Pattern A:

2 + 3 = 5

5 + 3 = 8

8 + 3 = 11

11 + 3 = 14

Lets do the math for Pattern B:

14 - 2 = 12

12 - 2 = 10

10 - 2 = 8

8 - 2 = 6

6 - 2 = 4

Annette [7]

Answer:

300 girls were there in the gym.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls was 4:3, after 160 boys left the gym, the ratio became 4:5.

Now, to find the number of girls in the gym.

The girls in the gym does not left, their quantity is same before and after.

So, we multiply the both ratios to make the girls ratio same:

4:3 × 5 = 20:15

4:5 × 3 = 12:15

Now, we find the units of the ratio.

The ratio of boys dropped down by 160:

20 - 12 = 8 units.

160 = 8 units

Now, dividing both sides by 8 we get:

20 = 1 unit

So, 1 unit = 20.

Now, girls = 15 units

So, 15 × 20 = 300.

Therefore, 300 girls were there in the gym.
