had been marked down 15%. She paid $119 for the shoes. When she got home, she told her best friend that she had saved some money. How much money did she save by purchasing the dress and shoes?

First divide 93 by 3 to get 25% of the original price: 31. Then multiply it by 4 to get the whole original price, which is $124. Now onto the shoes.
Divide 119 by 17 to get 7, which is 5% of the original price for the shoes. Then multiply 7 by 20, which is $140 for shoes.
Subtract 124-93 to get 31, the savings on the dress and also subtract
140-119 to get 21, savings on the shoes. Then add them together to get a grand savings total of $52 in savings. Hope this helps!

A set of 9 numbers has a mean of 20. What additional number must be included in this set to create a new set with a mean that is
PIT_PIT [208]

Greetings from Brasil...

The average for a set of 9 elements will be

(A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I) ÷ 9 = 20

Let's make (A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I) like S

(I chose S to remember a sum)

Let us think.....

S ÷ 9 = 20

S = 20 × 9

S = 180

So, (A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I) = 180

According to the statement, we will include a number (element J) in the sum to obtain a mean of (20 - 4), that is:

(A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I + J) ÷ 10 = (20 - 4)

as seen above, (A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I) = 180, then

(180 + J) ÷ 10 = 16

(180 + J) = 160

J = 160 - 180

J = - 20

So, including the number - 20 (minus 20) in the original mean we will obtain a new mean whose result will be 16

Anika [276]

Answer:

f(x) = 3x-1

g(x) = x+2

Find (f-g)(x), this means we need to subtract g from x.

(3x-1) - (x+2)

Subtract the like terms:

3x -x = 2x

-1 -2 = -3

Combine them to get 2x-3

The answer is B.

Brainliest would be much appreciated!
