Physiological principles: it is a low impact activity, as well as canoeing. It can significantly improve one’s aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility. Some of the health benefits: improved cardiovascular system, muscular strength and others.

Bio mechanical principles: it is a typical speed competitive event. It’s usually based on technique and strength. Experts say that after a few years, they have not noticed any big differences.
