One adult ticket costs £11 and one child ticket costs £8.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

Adult ticket = a

Child ticket = c

According to given statement;

3a+4c=67   Eqn 1

5a+6c=106   Eqn 2

Multiplying Eqn 1 by 5;

5(3a+4c=67)\\15a+20c=335\ \ \ Eqn\ 3

Multiplying Eqn 2 by 3;

3(5a+6c=106)\\15a+18c=318\ \ \ Eqn\ 4

Subtracting Eqn 4 from Eqn 3

(15a+20c)-(15a+18c)=335-318\\15a+20c-15a-18c=17\\2c=17\\

Dividing both sides by 2

\frac{2c}{2}=\frac{17}{2}\\c=8.5

Putting c=8.5 in Eqn 1

3a+4(8.5)=67\\3a+34=67\\3a=67-34\\3a=33

Dividing both sides by 3;

\frac{3a}{3}=\frac{33}{3}\\a=11

One adult ticket costs £11 and one child ticket costs £8.5

You launch a water balloon. The function h=-0.08t^2+1.6t+2 models the height h (in feet) of the water balloon after t seconds. W
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The initial height of the balloon is 2 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The height of the balloon in feet after t seconds is given by the following equation:

h(t) = -0.08t^{2} + 1.6t + 2

What is the initial height of the balloon?

This is h when t = 0, that is, h(0). So

h(0) = -0.08*0^{2} + 1.6*0 + 2 = 2

The initial height of the balloon is 2 feet.

Answer: D

Step-by-step explanation:

It seems there is two ways to solve this, remember that this is just one of them.

The triangle to the left is an isosceles triangle by definition. It is given that two of its sides are equal.

The angles opposite the equal sides in an isosceles triangle are congruent. It is given that one of these angles is 70 degrees, so the other one must be 70 degrees as well.

This angle is opposite to Angle Y. Vertical angles are congruent, so Angle Y must be 70 degrees.

D is the answer.

DENIUS [597]

Answer:

a) 30

b) 88

c) 70

d) 16

e) 160

f) 250

Step-by-step explanation:

So the first step would be to switch the numbers around. For example A would be 15 and 50 instead of the original order of 50 and 15. You would then take the 1st number in the new arranged order (15) and multiply it by 100, then divide in that order. 1500/50 = 30.

Another example, letter B.

Step 1 - Rearrange : 22 and 25

Step 2 - Multiple by 100 =  2200

Step 3 - Divide : 2200/25 = 88

Good Luck :) Hope this helped.
