Question #15:

Slope-intercept form:  y = mx + b

(m is the slope, b is the y-intercept or the y value when x = 0 --> (0, y) or the point where the line crosses through the y-axis)

You know:

m = 4

b = -3      So substitute/plug it into the equation

y = mx + b

y = (4)x + (-3)

y = 4x - 3          Your answer is C

Question #16:

Point-slope form:  y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

(m is the slope, (x₁ , y₁) is the point you are given)

You know:

m = 2

(x₁ , y₁) = (3, 1)         So substitute/plug it into the equation

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y - (1) = 2(x - (3))

y - 1 = 2(x - 3)           Your answer is F

Questions #17:

Yoga lessons cost $5 per lesson if Kylie enrolls in the health club for a fee of $120 per year. Which equation represents the yearly cost C of l yoga lessons?

C = the total cost of a year

l = the number of yoga lessons

C = 5l + 120

(the total cost of a year = $5 per lesson(l) plus a fee of $120 per year, so you pay a fee of $120 once a year)

Your answer is B

son4ous [18]

Answer:

P(yellow or red)   =8/15

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 15 marbles, 3 green, 4 blue, and 5 red marbles.

3+4+5 = 12

That means there are 15-12 = 3 3 yellow marbles.

3 green,

4 blue

5 red

3 yellow

To find the probability of yellow or red, we add the number of yellow and red marbles together over the total number of marbles

P(yellow or red) = (yellow +red)/ total

                           = (3+5)/ 15

                             =8/15

A ball is thrown from the top of a 50-ft building with an upward velocity of 24 ft/s. When will it reach its maximum height? How
sergeinik [125]
24ft/s for the 1st second then it'd be 9.8mp/s which is the speed of velocity towards earth, so the 24ft/s - the 9.8 would be 14.2ft/s which is the second, the third would then be 4.4 after again subtracting 9.8. That is as far as I got, hope that helps even slightly
