Answer:

The answer is -45.3 feet depth. while minus sign shows the descend under the water with water surface as starting point.

Step-by-step explanation:

Initial depth of diver under the water =-150feet

Diver descends 5 feet per minute for 3.5 minutes =3.5*(-5)

                                                                                =-17.5

Note: minus sign shows that the diver is under the water.

Diver ascends =122.2feet

Now adding all the terms a below as a numerical expression.

Current Depth of Diver after he descends 5 feet for 3.5 minutes and ascend 122.2 feet after  =-150-17.5+122.2

                           =45.3feet

By taking the initial depth of diver from which we add or subtract the changes made when he ascends or descends in the water to get the current depth.

Start at -150, then add 3(-5), then add 122.2. -150 + 3(-5) + 122.2 = -45.3

spin [16.1K]

Answer:800

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean(\mu )=\$ 4300

and P(X>6140)=0.0107

P(X>x_0)=0.0107

P\left ( \frac{X-\mu }{\sigma}

P\left ( z

\frac{x-\mu }{\sigma}=InvNormal(0.9893)

Using Z table to get InvNormal(0.9893)=2.30

\frac{6140-4300}{\sigma}=2.30

\sigma =\frac{6140-4300}{2.30}=800

Which best explains the relationship between lines a and b? They are skew and will never intersect. They are parallel and will n
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

They are skew and will never intersect.

Step-by-step explanation:

see attachment for the missing figure

Lines a and b are skew lines since they are not parallel and they do not intersect. The explanation that they don't intersect  is on the grounds that each line is in a parallel plane. Parallel means heading off to the same direction but neither converging nor diverging.
