As the y intercept lies on the x-axis, x=0

To find the y-intercept, put x=0 into the equation:

3(0) - 2y =  - 18 \\ 0 - 2y =  - 18 \\  - 2y =  - 18 \\ y =  \frac{18}{2}  \\ y = 9

Therefore,the y-intercept=9.
