6 over 8 and or you can do 9 over 12 because you can multiply the numerator and the denominator with any number but what you do to the top has to be the same as the bottom. I multiplied the first one with 2 on the denominator and the numerator. I multiplied the second one with 3 and what you do to the bottom has  to be the same as the top

Prove that if b is a square matrix then b+b^t is symmetric
WARRIOR [948]
A matrix \mathbf X is symmetric if \mathbf X=\mathbf X^\top. We have

(\mathbf B+\mathbf B^\top)^\top=\mathbf B^\top+(\mathbf B^\top)^\top=\mathbf B^\top+\mathbf B=\mathbf B+\mathbf B^\top

and so \mathbf B+\mathbf B^\top is indeed symmetric.

Find (f/g)(x).<br>Please help !!
Setler [38]

Answer:D

Step-by-step explanation:

factorise 2x²-16x+32

x²-8x+16

(x-4)²

factorise 4x²-2x-20

2x²-x-10

2x²+4x-5x-10

2x(x+2)-5(x+2)

(2x-5)(x+2)

solving for (f/g)(x)

(x-4)²/(x+2)÷(2x-5)(x+2)/(x-4)²

(x-4)²/(x+2)*(x-4)²/(2x-5)(x+2)

(x-4)⁴/(2x-5)(x+2)²

Andrew wants to measure the height of a traffic light. He walks exactly 20 feet from the base of the traffic light and looks up.
slava [35]

<u>Answer-</u>

<em>The height of the traffic light is 21.8 feet.</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

As shown in figure, we can see the right triangle formed from the situation,

From the question,

BC = the distance walked by Andrew from the traffic light = 20 feet

Height of Andrew's eye = 5 feet

Height of the traffic light = AB + Height of Andrew's eye

From the properties of triangle,

\Rightarrow \tan \theta =\frac{Height}{Base}

\Rightarrow \tan C =\frac{AB}{BC}

\Rightarrow AB=\tan C\times BC

\Rightarrow AB=\tan 40\times 20

\Rightarrow AB=16.8

Therefore, height of the traffic light = AB + Height of Andrew's eye = 16.8+5 = 21.8 feet
