What is the vertex of y=-6(2.5-x)(x-5.5)?
Alex787 [66]
Hello :

y=-6(2.5-x)(x-5.5) = -6(2.5x -13.75 -x² +5.5x)
y = -6(-x²+8x -13.75)
y = 6x²-48x+82.5
note :
if f(x) = ax²+bx +c the vertex is the point : ( -b/2a ; f(-b/2a))
a=6 b=-48 c = 82.5 .......calculate
-b/2a = -(-48)/2(6)= 4
f(4) =6(4)²-48(4)+82.5 =96 - 192 +82.5 = -13.5

Please help me!! Thanks guys!! (-2) the power of -4
ValentinkaMS [17]
Answer: 1/16

Explanation: turn the Negative 2 into a positive because a (-) base raised to an even power equals (+) to get 2^-4. Afterwards use the formula a^-n=1/a^n to get a^-n= 1/2^4 and 2 to the power of 4 is 16 because 4 times itself is 16 with that it gives you the answer of 1/16. I know this is a bit confusing lol but I hope that helps! Have a good day :))

Your textbook has a length of 30 cm, width of 25 cm, and a height of 4 cm. What is its volume?
Eva8 [605]

Hey there! The answer you're looking for is 3000 centimeters^3. If we take the first number, 30 cm, and multiply it by the second number, 25 cm, we're left with 750 cm^2. We use the last digit to multiply the 750 cm^2 into 3000 cm^3. Hope this helped!
