Answer:

Required Probability = 0.01659

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the laptop replacement times have a mean of 3.3 years and a standard deviation of 0.6 years i.e.; \mu = 3.3 years   and  \sigma = 0.6 years

Sample of 41 is taken i.e. n = 41.

The Z score probability is given by;

      Z = \frac{Xbar -\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} } } ~ N(0,1)

Let X bar = mean replacement time

So, probability that randomly selected laptop have a mean replacement time of 3.1 years or less = P(X bar <= 3.1 years)

P(X bar <= 3.1) = P( \frac{Xbar -\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} } } <= \frac{3.1 -3.3}{\frac{0.6}{\sqrt{41} } } ) = P(Z <= -2.13) = 1 - P(Z < 2.13)

                                                             = 1 - 0.98341 = 0.01659

Therefore, probability that 41 randomly selected laptops will have a mean replacement time of 3.1 years or less is 0.01659 .

what is the slope-intercept form equation of the line that passes through (1, 3) and (3, 7)? y = −2x 1 y = −2x − 1 y = 2x 1 y =
umka21 [38]
First let us find the slope;

Slope for (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂):      (1, 3) and (3, 7)

Slope:      (y₂ -y₁) / (x₂ -x₁)

Slope:      ( 7 - 3) / (3 - 1)  =  4/2

<span>Slope = 2

Using (y - y</span>₁) = m(x - x₁)

using (1, 3) as <span> (x₁, y₁)

</span>(y - y₁) = m(x - x<span>₁)
</span>
(y - 3) = 2(x - 1<span>)
</span>
y - 3 = 2x -2

y = 2x - 2 + 3

y = 2x + 1

<span>y = 2x + 1 is the equation of line through both points in slope intercept form.</span>

Answer the questions below. Reduce fractions expressing probability to their lowest terms.
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

1. YES, The probability of of picking one with today's date is less than 1 because there is a chance of picking something else, you cannot say it is certain to pick today's date randomly.

2.  YES, the probability of picking one with a different date is greater than 0 because there is a chance you could pick one of these. You cannot say it will never happen that you choose one with a different date.

3. .15 is the probability of picking today's date. (3 / 20)

4. .85 is the probability of picking a different date. (17 / 20)

Hope I helped!

BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

The area of the shape is 27 \pi\ units^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The area of the shape is the area of a three quarter of circle

The area of a three quarter of circle is equal to

A=\frac{3}{4}\pi r^{2}

we have

r=6\ units

substitute

A=\frac{3}{4}\pi (6^{2})=27 \pi\ units^{2}
