Describe a situation in which the probability of two events is mutually exclusive. Formulate and answer a question about its pro

bability. Repeat the process for inclusive events. Read your classmates' answers. How do they compare to yours? Did you come up with the same situation as anyone else? Do you agree or disagree with their vision of the situation? Why is it important to determine whether events are mutually exclusive?

Mutually exclusive events: when 2 events CAN NOT HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME: Example In one flip, Flipping a coin and getting Head  AND TAIL (impossible). Another example : Turning right AND turning left. .

So P(A∩B) = 0, However P(A∪B) = P(A OR B), although they are mutually exclusive but their Probability = P(A) + P(B)  (because either or)

Mutually INCLUSIVE EVENTS: When event can happen at the same time:
Example: from card deck, draw the King of Hearts, Or another example, in a class out of 50 students in math class, 30 are studying also English:
 When events are mutually INCLUSIVE, their probability is:

P(A∪B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A∩B).

eduardo has 4 1/2 yard of rope light. Exactly how many more yard does he need to finish the car's ceiling
Over [174]

Answer:

2 1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Because the denominators are different, and there are whole numbers involved, then first make the fractions improper.

4 1/2 -> 9/2

6 2/3 -> 20/3

Next, make the denominators the same by multiplying each fraction by the denominator of the other.

9/2 * 3 = 27/6

20/3 * 2 = 40/6

Then you can subtract the numerators because the denominators are the same:

40/6-27/6= 13/6

Then you can convert to a mixed fraction if need be.
