Why did the colonists declare their independence?
Oksanka [162]

The American colonies chose to declare independence from Great Britain for many reasons. They believed the British were treating the colonists unfairly. The British passed many tax laws that impacted the colonists. The colonists had no representatives in Parliament to vote on or discuss these laws. In English government, the people had to have representatives who could vote on taxes that would affect them.

Delvig [45]

One even that did not lead to Napoleon's defeat and fall of the French empire was B.) Napoleon's Desire To Resolve Conflict Through Diplomacy.

What led to the fall of Napoleon and the French empire?

The most direct cause was the failed invasion of Russia when France lost so many soldiers that their position of power became threatened.

Napoleon then suffered other defeats such as the Battle of Waterloo. Napoleon therefore failed because he preferred to fight wars instead of resolving conflict through diplomacy.
