The answer is b. 6.8 is greater than 6.5. It's very easy to figure out. You look at the first numbers and the one that has the greater first number is the highest one. But if both of the first numbers are the same, then you move on to the next digit until you find the greater one. And that will be the greatest one. You do the same thing even if your comparing more than two numbers.

Find the exact value of the given expression.<br> sin(2cos^-1(5/13))
xeze [42]

Answer:

+120/169 or -120/169

Step-by-step explanation:

  • let cos^{-1}[\frac{5}{13}  ] = \alpha

where, alpha is some angle that satisfies the assumed condition.

  • so, cos\alpha= 5/13

[ taking cos to the other side  or applying cos on both sides]

  • now, substitute this in the given expression
  • sin(2cos^-1(5/13)) = sin(2\alpha )

as sin\beta =  + or -\sqrt{1-(cos\beta) ^{2}

[by general trigonometry formula: cos^{2}[\beta] +sin^{2}[\beta]=1]

so if  cos\alpha= 5/13, we can get sin\alpha from the above formula as + or - 12/13

(because, after taking square root on both sides we keep + or -]

  • as, sin2\beta  = 2*sin[\beta ]*cos[\beta ]

[by general trigonometry formula]

  • here, now sin[2\alpha ]=2*(+or- 12/13)*5/13\\

so, the final value can be 120/169 or -120/169.

Use the distance formula to answer the question:<br> What is the distance between (5,9), (1, 6)?
joja [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula is Distance=√(x2-x1)²+(y2 -y1)²

x1 is 5, x2 is 1, y1 is 9, y2 is 6

D = √( 1-5)² +(6-9)²

D = √(-4)²+(-3)²

D = √16+9

D = √25

D = 5 units
