Answer: 24 (choice C)

Assuming M is a midpoint of KW, this means that WM and KM are congruent

WM = KM

x+3 = 2(x-3) ... substitution

x+3 = 2x-6

2x-6 = x+3

2x-6-x = x+3-x .... subtract x from both sides

x-6 = 3

x-6+6 = 3+6 ... add 6 to both sides

x = 9

Use x = 9 to find the length of WM

WM = x+3 = 9+3 = 12

Which can be used to find the length of KM as well

KM = 2(x-3) = 2(9-3) = 2(6) = 12

both lengths are the same (12) as expected

This makes WK to be

WK = WM + KM

WK = 12 + 12

WK = 24

The two-way table shows the ages of the players on different soccer teams. A 6-column table has 4 rows. The first column has ent
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

The true statement is: The probability that a randomly selected player on Team C is 10 years old is \frac{5}{16}.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the table the total number of 10 years old players on Team C is 5 and the total number of all ages players (8, 9 and 10 years old) on Team C is 16, so the probability that a randomly selected player on Team C is 10 years old is 5/16.

Which of the following situations describes a continuous distribution? A probability distribution showing the number of vaccines
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

Continous distributions:

- A probability distribution showing the average number of days mothers spent in the hospital.

- A probability distribution showing the weights of newborns.

Step-by-step explanation:

A probability distribution showing the number of vaccines given to babies during their first year of life will have a discrete distribution as only a natural number can represent the number of vaccines (0, 1, 2 vaccines and so on).

A probability distribution showing the average number of days mothers spent in the hospital can be described as continous because we are averaging days and this average can be fractional, so it is not discrete.

A probability distribution showing the weights of newborns is continous, as the weights are a continous variable (physical measurement), not discrete.

A probability distribution showing the amount of births in a hospital in a month is a discrete distribution, as the number of births can only be represented by natural numbers.
