Answer:

It means that you take a triangle and make another one but this time it is not the same size of the first one but the same shape. In other words make it bigger or smaller than the first one.

How do you find the slope using a graph
kicyunya [14]
The y intercept is seven so you would start by placing a point on (0,7). Then you count Down four points because the slope is a negative number and then count nine points to the right. You would have to keep counting down four points and the right nine points until your line was long enough.

A piece of wood is divided into three pieces in the ratio 6:8:4. The length of the longest pieces is 144cm. Calculate the length
MAXImum [283]

3.24m

the longest piece will be associated with 8 parts of the ratio.

divide 144 by 8 to find 1 part of the ration then multiply this value by 6 and 4 for the remaining parts of the ratio

\frac{144}{8} = 18 cm ← 1 part

6 parts = 6 × 18 = 108 cm

4 parts = 4 × 18 = 72 cm

length = 144 + 108 + 72 = 324 cm = 3.24m

Evergreen Wildlife Preserve has 110 animals, and 66 of them are birds of prey. What percent of the animals are birds of prey?
Korolek [52]

Answer:

60%

Step-by-step explanation:

let ,x% is birds of prey

total animals=110

birds of prey=66

then,

x%of 110=66

x/100×110=66

110x/100=66

1.1x=66

x=66/1.1

x=60%

I'm not sure if this is correct.

Please I need help
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

x: C

y: A

z:

Step-by-step explanation:

In a 45-45-90 triangle, the hypotenuse is larger than either of the legs by a factor of \sqrt{2}. The length of x is therefore:

12\cdot \sqrt{2}=12\sqrt{2}

In a 30-60-90 triangle, the longer leg is larger than the shorter leg by a factor of \sqrt{3}. Therefore:

y=\dfrac{12}{\sqrt{3}}=\dfrac{12\sqrt{3}}{3}=4\sqrt{3}

The hypotenuse of the 30-60-90 triangle is twice larger than the smallest leg, so it has a length of 8\sqrt{3}.

By the pythagorean theorem, you can find z+y:

z+y=\sqrt{(12\sqrt{2})^2-12^2}=\sqrt{288-144}=12\\\\4\sqrt{3}+z=12 \\\\z=12-4\sqrt{3}

Hope this helps!
