If a scientist is studying a model that is a widely accepted theory about the position of planets and sun, the model would most likely help the scientist to understand facts that can't be easily observed. That will make the correct answer to be C.

Before coming into any conclusion, first we have to understand a model.

A model is the evidence based representation of general idea of objects,animals or events which can not be visualized directly. The evidence on the basis of which the model is postulated can not be always correct under all conditions.It can be modified and reshaped depending on further investigation on it.

As per this question, a scientist studies a model of a widely accepted theory about the position of planets and the sun. On the basis of his study a model was produced.

From above mentioned ideas about a model it is obvious that the correct answer to the question will be C) understand facts which cannot be easily observed

Snowboarder Jump—Energy and Momentum
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

THE ANSWER TERMS ARE DEFINED BLOW:-

Explanation:

MOMENTUM- IT IS THE ABILITY TO INCREASE OR DEVELOP CONSTANT FORCE.

KINETIC ENERGY:- IT IS THE ENERGY THAT A PRTICLE POSSES WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY IN MOTION.

POTENTIAL ENERGY:- IT IS THE ENERGY THAT A PARTICLE POSSES WHEN IT ACTUALLY IS IN RESTING STATE.

IN THIS ACIVITY THE SNOWBOARDER IS IN THE MOTION STATE THEREFORE HE POSSES KINETIC ENERGY AND TO MAINTAIN THAT KINEITC ENERG FOR A PERIOD OF TIME,MOMENTUM PLAYS IT'S ROLE.

Express the vector R
B
in terms of A, B, C, and Ď, the edges of a
parallelogram.
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

R=0.5B+0.5C+2A+D

Explanation:

By the triangular law of vector addition

vector R= vector B- vector D

As A,B,C,D are edges of the parallelogram,

A is parallel to D but opposite in direction.

Therefore

A = (-D);A//D;

2A=-2D

B is parallel to C and in same direction.

B//C\\B=C\\

0.5B=0.5C\\

R= B-D;\\R= 0.5B+0.5B-D;\\R=0.5B+0.5C-D;\\R=0.5B+0.5C-2D+D;\\R=0.5B+0.5C+2A+D;

The emission of a Beta particle has the effect of?
Zarrin [17]

Answer: No change in mass

Explanation:

Beta-emission: In this process, a neutron gets converted into a proton and an electron. The electron is referred to as a beta-particle. The beta particle released carries a charge of -1 unit and has negligible mass.

General representation of an element is given as: _Z^A\textrm{X}

Z= Atomic number

A = mass number

X = chemical symbol of element

_Z^A\textrm{X}\rightarrow _{Z+1}^A\textrm{Y}+_{-1}^0\beta

Imagine Two Artificial Satellites Orbiting Earth At The Same Distance. One Satellite Has A Greater Mass Than The Other One? Whic
Bad White [126]

After reading this whole question, I feel like I've already
earned 5 points !

-- Two satellites at the same distance, different masses:

The forces of gravity between two objects are directly
proportional to the product of the objects' masses. In
other words, the gravitational forces between the Earth
and an object on its surface are proportional to the mass of
the object. In other words, people with more mass weigh more
on the Earth, and the Earth weighs more on them.

If the satellites are both at the same distance from Earth,
then the Earth pulls on the one with more mass with greater
force, and also the one with more mass pulls on the Earth
with greater force.

-- Two satellites with the same mass, at different distances:

The forces of gravity between two objects are inversely
proportional to the square of the distance between them.
In other words, the gravitational forces between the Earth
and an object are inversely proportional to the square of
the distance between the object and the center of the Earth.

If the satellites both have the same mass, then the Earth
pulls on the nearer one with greater force, and also the
nearer one pulls on the Earth with greater force.

-- Resistor in a circuit when the voltage changes:

The resistance depends on how the resistor was manufactured.
Its resistance is marked on it, and doesn't change. It remains
the same whether the voltage changes, the current changes,
the time of day changes, the cost of oil changes, etc.

If you increase the voltage in the circuit where that resistor is
installed, the current through the resistor increases. If the current
remains constant, then you can be sure that somebody snuck over
to your circuit when you weren't looking, and they either installed
another resistor in series with the original one to make the total
resistance bigger, or else they snipped the original one out of the
circuit and quickly connected one with more resistance in its place.
