Answer:

  23.  b

  24.  c

  25.  b

  26.  c

Step-by-step explanation:

23. In problem 21, you found the coefficient matrix to be ...

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}2&-3&1\\1&2&-4\\-3&-2&3\end{array}\right]

Its determinant is ...

  (2)(2)(3) +(-3)(-4)(-3) +(1)(1)(-2) -(-3)(2)(1) -(-2)(-4)(2) -(3)(1)(-3)

  = 12 -36 -2 +6 -16 +9 = -27 . . . . choice b

__

24. Looking at the equation involving x11 terms, we have ...

  -3x +7 = 10

  -3x = 3 . . . . . subtract 7

  x = -1 . . . . . . divide by -3 . . . . matches choices A and C

We note that choices A and C differ in their values for x22, so we consider the equation for that:

  -3x -3 = -18

  x + 1 = 6 . . . . . . . divide by -3

  x = 5 . . . . . . . . matches choice C

__

25. Dx will be the determinant of the matrix with the constants in the first column. Choice B is the only one that matches.

__

26. The value of Dx is -78 +24 = -54. The determinant of the coefficient matrix is (5)(6) -(-3)(-4) = 30 -12 = 18. So the value of x is -54/18 = -3, which matches choice C.

If Beyoncé performed as many songs as
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

20 songs

Step-by-step explanation:

Robyn sang a total of 13 songs for a population of 62000 people, the per capita is the ratio of the total songs sang to the total number of people. Hence:

Robyn per capita = songs performed / population = 13 / 62000

Beyonce sang to a population of 91000 people, given that Beyonce and Robyn had the same per capita, therefore:

Beyonce per capita = songs performed / population

13/62000 = songs performed / 91000

songs performed = 13/62000 × 91000 = 19.08

songs performed ≈ 20 songs

Beyonce is expected to sing about 20 songs

What is 1/6 plus 3/8
omeli [17]

\frac{1}{6}  +  \frac{3}{8}

There are two fraction ls with different denominators.To make the denominators same multiply and divide by 8 in ( 1 ÷ 6 ) and by 6 in ( 3 ÷ 8 )

( \frac{1 \times 8}{6 \times 8} ) + (  \frac{3 \times 6}{8 \times 6} ) \\  \\  \\  \\  \frac{8}{48}  +  \frac{18}{48}

Now both they denominators are same , so we can easily add 8 and 18 ,

\frac{8 + 18}{48}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \frac{26}{48}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \frac{13}{24}
