Answer:

b=44

b=44 - 9

b=44 + 5

x+x+x = 44

x + (x-9) + (x+5) = 44

3x - 4 = 44

+4

3x =48

÷3

x=16

So, first photo contains 16 birds.

x=16

(x-9) - - > 16-9 = 7

(x+5) - - >16+5=21

16 + 7 + 21 =44

Answer is 16 birds in first photo

Hope this helps!
