Jess is building a skateboarding ramp in the shape of a triangular prism with the dimensions shown. If Jess wants to cover all f

aces of the ramp with plywood, how much plywood will he need? A triangular prism. The rectangular sides are 12 feet by 3 feet, 12 feet by 5 feet, and 12 feet by 4 feet. The 2 triangular sides have a base of 3 feet and height of 4 feet. [Not drawn to scale] 96 square feet 144 square feet 156 square feet 168 square feet

The image showing the dimensions is missing, so i have attached it.

Answer:

A = 156 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how much plywood Jesse will need to cover all the surface simply means we are to find the surface area.

The surface area of the triangular prism is given by;

A = (2 * (Area of the base)) + (Perimeter of base x height)

Now, area of the base=bh/2

b = 3 ft

h = 4 ft

area of the base = 3*4/2 = 6 ft²

perimeter of the base = L + b + h = 4 + 3 + 5 = 12 ft

height of the prism;h = 12 ft

Thus;

surface area of the triangular prism;

A = (2 * 6) + (12*12)

A = 12 + 144

A = 156 ft²

The first three steps in determining the solution set of the system of equations, y = –x2 – 2x + 8 and y = 2x + 11, algebraicall
shutvik [7]
First step
Using substitution you can fill 2x + 11 in for the y part of the first equation
This will look like: 2x + 11 = -x^2 -2x + 8

Second step
Now we need to solve for the variable by combining like terms you can start by adding x^2 + 2x -8 to both sides
You get 0 = x^2 +4x +3

Third step
Factor
(X+3)(x+1)=0

If you need the y values you can fill in x= -3 to the second equation y= 2(-3) + 11 and y=5
First point is (-3,5)

The other point is found by filling x=-1 into the second equation: y= 2(-1) +11 and y = 9
Second point is (-1,9)
