Intrinsic motivation should be used for fighting any kind of disorder.

Motivation is the feeling of being determined, focused on achieving a particular thing. Motivation is the force that keeps you working in a particular direction and channelizes your energy in that direction.

There are two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is the motivation which comes from within and not from any kind of reward or from fear of any kind of punishment like that of an extrinsic motivation. This kind of a motivation goes a long way.
