SSSSS [86.1K]

Dear King George III of Great Britain,

I am writing to you because we want to start our own country. I write only after long thought about the many issues between us. Some issues and events of the last few years include the Boston tea party, and the stamp act.

You see, in the American colonies, we believe that the purpose of government is serve as the voice as the people . Government should speak for its people in fairness. It should follow the principles of John Locke, such as the rights to natural and inalienable rights and the right to life, liberty, and property.  These ideas mean that we the people have rights that cannot be taken away from us. The role of government in natural law is to protect our citizens from the government and have rights that cannot be taken away.

Unfortunately, you have not lived up to these expectations as a ruler. One example of how you have disappointed us is the changes in laws, and how you have acted with treason towards us on more than one occasion. This affects our rights because we were your faithful subjects, and we deserve rights. Another example is how you have not spoken to your subjects in Boston, only through s govenor who does not always know what you want for your subjects. This affects our rights because as your citizen we have the right to be addressed by the one we call our 'ruler' . A third example is you send men to fight for you but do you really understand what they are fighting for? Or is this all a buisness deal to you?. This affects our rights because as our ruler we deserve to know the truth.

Please remember that we did try to reason with you first. Remember when we sent John Adams to speak with you and you sent him away, thinking he was talking of absurd topics? Or, there was the time we drafted a statement of nutralitiy.

Because you have failed to address our concerns, the American colonists are declaring complete independence from you and from your country, Great Britain. We are no longer under your rule and from now on, we will be our own country and give the people the rights to life, liberity and happiness, because after all the loss of life you have caused our future country, the people are going to have something to fight for...remember us, the country that got away!

Sincerely,

Your Name

How would you define progress ? (based of imperialism & industrial revolution) ??help
vichka [17]

Answer:

Even though Imperialism has been lessened to an extent, is still strong today. Fueled by an industrial revolution, Imperialism thrived during the 19th century. Shaping the modern world through partitions and wars, Imperialism quenched the thirst for wealth sought by the western world. As imperialism is a direct effect of industrialization, it must come with all the negative effects if industrialization. Though improvements such as irrigation systems and roads were developed, the famine, disease, and war due to Western Imperialism far outweighed the positive effects of industrializing. Beginning with the renaissance in Italy during the 17th century and ending with the reign of Napoleon the First, nationalism had been waiting to pop out of its paradigm shell. The spread of enlightenment ideals throughout Europe brought a liberal swing. People began to call for a more equal society, with a higher standard of living. Napoleons empire built a since of unity in Europe, causing the birth of nationalism, as in England and Germany. This since of nationalism brought forth economic competition between rivaling countries. The Industrial Revolution began in the early 1700's with the invention of the steam engine. Fueled by a recent agricultural revolution, England was the first to Industrialize. With the creation of the steam engine, large factories began springing up, attracting workers and thereby creating small industrialized towns such as Manchester and Brighton. The Agricultural Revolution helped provide a large population, filling the factories' needs for workers. But with these towns there became a serous problem of over crowding in the cities. There were many good and bad effects of the Industrial

What specific military tactics does Stalin suggest the Soviets use to defeat Hitler? A. Soldiers should force prisoners of war t
Leokris [45]

Answer:

B. Goods and valuable property should be moved or destroyed to prevent enemy use.

Explanation:

Initially stalin used a "Not one step back approach" meant that all positions be held at all costs which means that most of the commanding officers that have suffered defeats as Germans had advanced to subdue the Soviet Union be shot and replaced. Then, political commissars enforced the tactic that there should be no retreat from the Germans. But, Stalin soon realized that tactical retreats were necessary and He suggests that anything or property of material value to the German's be destroyed.

Stalin moved the entire factories East beyond Urals and out of reach for the Germans. This approach allowed The Soviets Union to produce military hardware like tanks, and planes at a pace which the Germans were unable to match.
