Find x+y+z from the following figure

hoa [83]

Step-by-step explanation:

the inner top vertex angle seems to be 90°, so x = 90° too. all angles around a single point in one side of a line are in total 180°.

also, remember, all angles inside a triangle always sum up to 180°.

so, the third inner angle of the triangle is

180 - 90 - 40 = 50°.

that makes z = 180 - 50 = 130°

and y = 180 - 40 = 140°.

Find three consecutive odd integers such that 5 times the sum of all three is 42 more than the product of the first and second i
maxonik [38]
The three integers are x, x+2, x+4

5(3x+6)=42+x(x+2)
15x+30=x^2+2x+42
x^2 - 13x +12=0
(x-12)(x-1) = 0
x = 12 or 1
since the integers have to be odd we exclude 12

integers are 1,3,5
