A good reference I would give you for ideas on this topic is the novel Hidden Figures, written by author Margot Lee Shetterly. The movie was also released this year if you decide you want to look it up. But to answer your question.

Computers during World war 2 were normal people who just had an ability to use their brains as a caculator or as a expert scientist would. These people usually had access to prestigious education because of their above average intelligence. Computers stood out from the rest. So your main question is was women held to higher standards? I would answer that with yes and no. Because all computers were held to a very high standard for their job because during those years many things during war depended on them. But on the other hand most computers were men so a woman computer did have to prove she could handle her job just as well as the man.

please vote my answer brainliest. thanks!

History help! <br> Describe the effects interchangeable parts had on machinery and production.
bonufazy [111]

Interchangeable parts are parts (components) that are, for practical purposes, identical. They are made to specifications that ensure that they are so nearly identical that they will fit into any assembly of the same type. One such part can freely replace another, without any custom fitting (such as filing). This interchangeability allows easy assembly of new devices, and easier repair of existing devices, while minimizing both the time and skill required of the person doing the assembly or repair.

The concept of interchangeability was crucial to the introduction of the assembly line at the beginning of the 20th century, and has become an important element of some modern manufacturing but is missing from other important industries.

Describe at least three reasons why many scholars and historians think the Civil War is the first modern war.
miskamm [114]
There also people that think WW1 was the first modern war.
But the reason for people to believe that the fist modern war was the civil war  is because it was the first war after the industrial revolution, that also meant more technology and advancement were made, and last it was because these new technology's resulted in more deaths than any other American war.
