0.70 moles will be produced

Explanation:

step 1: start with mol HCl, go to mol CaCl2 then do the same for mol Ca(OH)2

step 2: determine limited reagent  

step 3: check answer  

EQUATION: 2 HCl + Ca(OH)2 → CaCl2 + 2 H2O

Calculation:

(1.4 mol HCl) x (1 mol CaCl2 / 2 mol HCl)  

= 0.70 mol CaCl2
