Answer:

I will answer in English.

This can be translated to:

"Camila bought two books to read this vacation.  One is science fiction and the other is a novel.  If she finishes both books, she will have read 450 pages on vacation. The novel is known to have 60 pages  more than the science fiction book. Denoting by x  the number of pages in the fiction book and by y the number  pages of the novel book, it is possible to describe  a linear system with two equations involving x and  y with this information. "

First, the datat that we have is:

x + y = 450.

x + 60 = y.

Then we can isolate y in both equations, and have two linear equations:

y = 450 - x

y = x + 60.

Now we can graph those lines, and find the image bellow.

The point where the lines intersect is the solution of the system

We also can find the solution of the system as follows:

y = 450 - x = x + 60

then we can solve this for x.

450 - x = x + 60

2x = 450 - 60 = 390

x = 390/2 = 195

and we know that:

y = x + 60 = 195 + 60 = 255

Then: The science fiction book has 195 pages, and the novel has 255 pages.

Whats the difference between "6 + A" and "6 x A"
Nata [24]

Answer:

To determine what is the difference between "6 + A" and "6 x A", the logic of the proposed mathematical operations must be explained:

In "6 + A", the value A is added to the initial value 6. Thus, for example, if A were worth 10, to the initial value 6 10 units are added, with which the final value is 16.

In contrast, in "6 x A", the initial value 6 is multiplied by as many times as the value A indicates. Therefore, continuing with the value of A as 10, in this case 6 would be multiplied by 10 times, giving a final value of 60.

Find m3 if m5 = 38° and m6 = 62°.
geniusboy [140]
M5 minus M6 will get M1
So 62 - 38 = 24
24 x 3 = 72
So M3 is 72

A spherical balloon is being inflated at a rate of 3 cubic inches per second. Determine the change in the rate of the radius.How
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

The rate rate of change of radius is \frac{1}{48\pi} inches per second when the diameter is 12 inches.

The radius is changing more rapidly when the diameter is 12 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

A spherical balloon is being inflated at a rate of 3 cubic inches per second.

The volume of sphere is V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

Differentiate the above formula with respect to time.

\frac{dV}{dt}=4\pi r^2\frac{dr}{dt}

Substitute the respective values in the above formula,

3=4\pi 6^2\frac{dr}{dt}

\frac{1}{48\pi}=\frac{dr}{dt}

The rate rate of change of radius is \frac{1}{48\pi} inches per second when the diameter is 12 inches.

When d=16

3=4\pi 8^2\frac{dr}{dt}

\frac{3}{256\pi}=\frac{dr}{dt}

Thus, the radius is changing more rapidly when the diameter is 12 inches.
