Why do metal smelting plants produce so much pollution

Chemistry

Metal smelting plants are made to release and remove impurities from metal. The ore is removed through several different processes and in doing so releases the energy from such work and dust and minerals that are removed from the ore itself. Refer below \/ for the needed energy in these processes

carbon in the coal or charcoal used releases vast amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere which is causes a buildup in the ozone and sunlight when reflected off the earth and back into the carbon saturated ozone layer causes what we call the greenhouse effect. Carbon Dioxide is therefore referred to as a greenhouse gas

Why is DNA a useful evolutionary clock?
hjlf
DNA is an evolutionary clock that's extremely useful in our lives because it mutates. The mutations that occur in our DNA causes the organisms to diverge evolutionarily from one another, providing us our natural clock in the timeline of evolution.

4HCl + O2 ⇌ 2H2O + Cl2
Arada [10]

Answer:

The rate of forward reaction increases.

Explanation:

 • Le Châtelier's principle states that when there is an dynamic equilibrium, and this equilibrium is disturbed by an external factor, the equilibrium will be shifted in the direction that can cancel the effect of the external factor to reattain the equilibrium.

Increasing the volume of oxygen:

will increase the concentration of oxygen (reactants), so the equilibrium will be shifted to the right side (products side) to suppress the effect of increasing the volume of oxygen.

So, the right choice is: The rate of forward reaction increases.

What is the difference between a chemical change and a physical change? Give an example of each.
Snowcat [4.5K]
Physical changes are changes that change the physical traits of the substance, without making any change in their internal structure. Chemical changes effect internal structure of the substance and new substance is formed.
Examples of physical changes - breaking glass, evaporating alcohol, shredding paper...
Chemical : burning paper, heating sugar to form caramel, rusting of iron...

What is the color of elemental silver? Explain.
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
An ingot of elemental silver will have a silvery-white color. In fact silver is said to be the "whitest" of all metals. If it is to be grind , the silver up into smaller and smaller particles, the silver will appear progressively grayer or darker. This is because smaller particles become less effective at reflecting light and produce more scattering
