Let the width be "x" cm.

Then the length is "x+12" cm

And the area = x(x+12) = x^2+12x cm^2

----------------------------

Change the dimensions:

width = "x-2" cm

length = "x+10" cm

New area = (x-2)(x+10) = x^2 + 8x - 20 cm^2

------------------

Equations :

Old area - New area = 108 cm^2

x^2+12x -(x^2 + 8x - 20) = 108

4x + 20 = 108

4x = 88

x = 22 cm (original width)

x+12 = 24 cm (original length)

arsen [322]

Answer:

10ac

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given the expression a · c · 5 · 5

We can multiply 5 with 5 and get 25.

Thus, the expression becomes

a · c · 5 · 5= ac25

We can rewrite the expression using commutative property

25ac = 25ca

Therefore, the given expression is equivalent to  25ac and  25ca.

Hence, 10ac is not the correct form.

Answer: The dimensions are 10 2/3 feet by 5 1/3 feet (Ten and two-thirds and five and one third).

Step-by-step explanation: This is our system of equations:y=Lengthx=Widthy=2x2x+2y=32We can substitute the y value in the second equation by plugging in the first equation: 2x+2(2x)=322x+4x=326x=32x=16/3 or 5 1/3We can plug in this x value into the first equation to find the y value:y=2(16/3)y=32/3 or 10 2/3
