4. Given: a + m = n, n= 4a; Prove: m = 3a
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

Proof below

Step-by-step explanation:

Algebraic Manipulation

It refers to the process of modifying algebraic expressions, often into a simpler form or more easily handled and dealt with.

It also helps us to prove some identities.

We are given the relations:

a + m = n

n = 4a

Substituting the last equation in the first, we have:

a + m = 4a

Subtracting a on both sides of the equation:

m = 4a - a

Simplifying:

m = 3a

Hence proved

Describe what transformations of the quadratic parent function of g(x)=2(x-3)^2
Elodia [21]

Answer: There is a horizontal shift of 3 units to the right and a vertical stretch by a factor of 2.

Step-by-step explanation: The (x-3) shifts the graph three units right, think of as for (x)=0 x has to be 0, and for (x-3)=0 x has to be 3, which is 0+3. The vertical stretch multiplies everything by 2, so it should make sense that it's a vertical stretch by a factor of 2.

Can someone please help me with this question, I have multiple of them and have no idea where to start. If you can help me with
Alika [10]

Answer:

x = 5

Explanation:

Well, there's a theorem about these triangles that helps you solve questions similar to this one.

The theorem states that the sum of the two angles of a triangle is equal to the magnitude of the angle exterior to them.

That is, 33° + (10x+1)° = (17x-1)°

17x - 10x = 33 + 1 + 1

7x = 35 => x = 5

Hope it helps you, mate! :)

A playground is rectangular with a length of 2/4 miles. If the area of the playground is 8/12 square miles, what is its width? I
sergey [27]

Answer:

The width of the playground is 4/3 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the area formula and plug in values

A = l * w

8/12 = 2/4 * w

Use inverse operations to isolate the variable and solve

w = 8/12 ÷ 2/4

Cross multiply the fractions to find the quotient

w = 32/24

And lastly, simplify

w = 4/3 mi
