A jeweler had a fixed amount of gold to make bracelets and necklaces. The amount of gold in each bracelet is 6 grams and the amo

Number of bracelets made is 4 and number of necklace made is 8

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Let "b" be the number of bracelets made

Let "n" be the number of necklace made

amount of gold in 1 bracelet = 6 grams

amount of gold in 1 necklace = 18 grams

<u><em>Given that he made 4 more necklaces than bracelets</em></u>

number of necklace made = 4 + number of bracelets made

n = 4 + b -------- eqn 1

<em><u>The jeweler used 168 grams of gold</u></em>

Therefore, we can frame a equation as:

number of bracelets made x amount of gold in 1 bracelet + number of necklace made x amount of gold in 1 necklace = 168

b \times 6 + n \times 18 = 168

6b + 18n = 168 ---------- eqn 2

<em><u>Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2</u></em>

Substitute eqn 1 in eqn 2

6b + 18(4 + b) = 168

6b + 72 + 18b = 168

24b = 168 - 72

24b = 96

b = 4

From eqn 1,

n = 4 + b

n = 4 + 4

n = 8

Thus number of bracelets made is 4 and number of necklace made is 8

The measure of angle 1 is 3x + 10 and the measure of angle 4 is (4x-15). What is the measure of angle 7
Alex_Xolod [135]
<u><em>Answer:</em></u>
∠7 = 95°

<u><em>Explanation:</em></u>
<u>1- getting the value of x:</u>
In the given figure, angle 1 and angle 4 are vertically opposite angles.
Therefore, they are equal in measurement
This means that:
3x + 10 = 4x - 15
4x - 3x = 10 + 15
x = 25

<u>2- getting the value of angle 4:</u>
We know that:
x = 25 and ∠4 is 4x-15
This means that:
∠4 = 4(25) - 15
∠4 = 85°

<u>3- getting the value of ∠6:</u>
From the given figure, we can see that ∠4 and ∠6 are supplement angles, this means that their summation is 180°.
We have calculated that ∠4 is 85°, therefore:
180 = ∠4 + ∠6
∠6 = 180 - ∠4
∠6 = 180 - 85
∠6 = 95°

<u>4- getting the value of angle 7:</u>
From the drawing, we can note that ∠6 and ∠7 are vertically opposite angles. This means that they are equal in measurements.
Therefore:
∠7 = ∠6 = 95°

Hope this helps :)

The area of a parallelogram is 221 yd. its height is 13 yd. what is the length of its corresponding base
Mumz [18]
The area is the product of the base length and height.
  A = bh
  221 yd² = b×(13 yd)
  (221 yd²)/(13 yd) = b = 17 yd

The length of the corresponding base is 17 yd.

The following information was obtained from independent random samples taken of two populations. Assume normally distributed pop
Volgvan

Answer:

1. The 95% confidence interval for the difference between means is (-5.34, 11.34).

2. The standard error of (x-bar1)-(x-bar2) is 4.

s_{M_d}=\sqrt{\dfrac{\sigma_1^2}{n_1}+\dfrac{\sigma_2^2}{n_2}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{9.2195^2}{10}+\dfrac{9.4868^2}{12}}\\\\\\s_{M_d}=\sqrt{8.5+7.5}=\sqrt{16}=4

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to calculate a 95% confidence interval for the difference between means.

The sample 1, of size n1=10 has a mean of 45 and a standard deviation of √85=9.2195.

The sample 2, of size n2=12 has a mean of 42 and a standard deviation of √90=9.4868.

The difference between sample means is Md=3.

M_d=M_1-M_2=45-42=3

The estimated standard error of the difference between means is computed using the formula:

s_{M_d}=\sqrt{\dfrac{\sigma_1^2}{n_1}+\dfrac{\sigma_2^2}{n_2}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{9.2195^2}{10}+\dfrac{9.4868^2}{12}}\\\\\\s_{M_d}=\sqrt{8.5+7.5}=\sqrt{16}=4

The critical t-value for a 95% confidence interval is t=2.086.

The margin of error (MOE) can be calculated as:

MOE=t\cdot s_{M_d}=2.086 \cdot 4=8.34

Then, the lower and upper bounds of the confidence interval are:

LL=M_d-t \cdot s_{M_d} = 3-8.34=-5.34\\\\UL=M_d+t \cdot s_{M_d} = 3+8.34=11.34

The 95% confidence interval for the difference between means is (-5.34, 11.34).

Diana received an inheritance of $3500 and plans to place all the money in a savings account that pays 3% compounded quarterly.
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

$36,050

Step-by-step explanation:

If the original price Diana puts into the savings account is $3500 and the pays 3% increase, than how much will be in the account in 10 years?

3% can also be turned in 3 divided by 100, I will be using that in my explanation.

3 divided by 100 : 0.03

you then multiply 0.03 by 3500 and you will get 105.

3% of the $3,500 is $105

$3,500 plus $105 is $3,605

You then have to multiply that answer by 10(years)

$3,605 times 10 is $36,050
