The mass of the earth is 5.97 ✕ 1024 kg, and the mass of the moon is 7.35 ✕ 1022 kg. the distance of separation, measured betwee

n their centers, is 3.84 ✕ 108 m. locate the center of mass of the earth-moon system as measured from the center of the earth.

M₁ = 5.97 * 10²⁴
m₂ = 7.35 * 10²²

r₁ = 0
r₂ = 3.84 * 10⁸

r = distance from earth center to center of mass

r*(m₁+m₂) = r₁m₁ + r₂m₂
r = (r₁m₁ + r₂m₂) / (m₁ + m₂) = (0 + 2.82 * 10³¹) / 6.0435 * 10²⁴ = 4,66 * 10⁶

Tobeg says the equation 3x + 2y= 270 and y=4/5x + 20 intersect at the point (50,60) is this true how do you know
il63 [147K]

ANSWER

Yes it is very true

EXPLANATION

If the two equations intersect at (50,60) then this point must satisfy the two equations.

3x+2y=270---(1)

We substitute (50,60) in to erquation (1)

3(50)+2(60)=270

150+120=270

270=270

y=\frac{4}{5}x+20 ---(2)

We now substitute (50,60) in to erquation (2) also

60=\frac{4}{5}(50)+20

60=40+20

60=60

Since the point satisfy all the two equations, it is true that they intersect at (60,50)

The area of the trapezium is four times the area of the parallelogram. Work out the value of x
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

2.5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

area of trapezium = 4 * area of parallelogram

1/2(a+b)*h=4* bh

1/2(5+11)*4= 4* 3.2x

8*4=4*3.2x

8/3.2=x

2.5cm=x
