Answer:

$1.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Amy, Beth and Catherine bought the same amount of apples.

let s say this is x

Amy has x amount of apples

Beth has x amount of apples

Catherine has x amount of apples

Catherine gave same amount of apples to Amy and Beth

let s say this is y

Amy has x + y amount of apples

Beth has x + y amount of apples

Catherine has x - 2y amount of apples

Catherine has 15 less than Amy so x-2y=x+y-15

Catherine has 15 less than Beth so x-2y=x+y-15

so finally, it comes x-2y=x+y-15

so 3y=15 and then y =5

Catherine gave 5 lb to Amy and 5lb to Beth

Catherine receives $12.5 from both of them

it means that 10lb costs $12.5 so the price for each lb is $1.25

thanks

Debbie owns a clothing store that designs T-shirts and shorts. She sells the T-
balandron [24]

Answer:

$ 208

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem can be solved in a very simple way and the hourly earnings of each product are calculated.

That is, its sale value for the time it costs to create it:

For T-shirts: Each one is worth $ 6 but in one you can make two, therefore

$ 12 per hour.

For shorts: Each one is worth 13 and one is made per hour, therefore

$ 13 per hour

Which means that the most productive thing is to sell all shorts.

It can work 16 hours maximum, therefore it can make 16 shorts.

So:

13 * 16 = $ 208

And this would be the maximum value that can be obtained and complies with the restriction of at least 12 products but less than 24 products.

IceJOKER [234]
Given that the function

C(h)=\frac{2h^2+5h}{h^3+8}

models the concentration of a medication in the bloodstream (as a percent), hours (h) after its injection into muscle tissue.

The number of hours it will take for the concentration of the injection to be less than 0.5% is given by:

0.5\ \textgreater \ \frac{2h^2+5h}{h^3+8} \\ \\ \Rightarrow0.5(h^3+8)\ \textgreater \ 2h^2+5h \\ \\ \Rightarrow h^3+8\ \textgreater \ 4h^2+10h \\ \\ \Rightarrow h^3-4h^2-10h+8\ \textgreater \ 0 \\ \\ \Rightarrow h\ \textgreater \ 5.54

Given that the first injection was given at 8:00 am, the time the next injection should be given is 2 pm.

Select the correct answer. Which equation matches the function shown in the graph?
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

B) y=sin(x+\frac{\pi}{2})

Step-by-step explanation:

Technically, since the function starts at its maximum, you could say the function is y=cos(x), but the answer choices all use sine instead. Therefore, we will have to use the cofunction identity cos(x)=sin(x+\frac{\pi}{2}) and we can see that the correct answer is B.
