Answer:

The actual area 21600 miles²

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- A drawing that shows a real object with accurate sizes reduced or

enlarged by a certain amount called the scale

- Drawing scale is a ratio between the drawing length and the

actual length

- To find the actual dimensions from the drawing dimensions use the

  scale drawing

* Lets solve the problem

- A map of a rectangular park has a length of 4 inches and a width

of 6 inches

∴ The drawing dimensions are:

# length = 4 inches

# width = 6 inches

- The scale of the map is 1 inch foe every 30 miles

∴ The scale drawing is 1 : 30

- To find the actual area find the actual dimensions

∵ The scale drawing is 1 : 30

∵ The length = 4 inches and the width = 6 inches

- By using cross multiplication

∴  1        :        30

   4       :  actual length

   6       :  actual width

∴ Actual length = (4 × 30)/1 = 120

∴ Actual length = 120 miles

∴ Actual width = (6 × 30)/1 = 180

∴ Actual Width = 180 miles

∴ The actual dimensions are 120 miles and 180 miles

∵ The area of any rectangle = length × width

∴ The actual area = 120 × 180 = 21600

∴ The actual area 21600 miles²

Which of the following equations best represents the regression line for the data given in the
True [87]

The regression equation for the data given is y= -8.57 -2.31x

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to form a table as shown below;

x           y          xy         x²         y²

1            4           4          1          16

2            1            2          4         1

3            5          15         9         25

4             10         40        16       100

5             16         80        25      256

6              19        114       36        361

7               15       105       49       225

28             60       360      140     984  ------sum

A linear regression equation is in the form of y=A+Bx

where ;

x=independent variable

y=dependent variable

n=sample size/number of data points

A and B are constants that describe the y-intercept and the slope of the line

Calculating the constants;

A=(∑y)(∑x²) - (∑x)(∑xy) / n(∑x²) - (∑x)²

A=(60)(140) - (28)(360)  / 7(140)-(28)²

A=8400 - 10080 /980-784

A= -1680/196

A= - 8.57

B= n(∑xy) - (∑x) (∑y) / n(∑x²) - (∑x)²

B= 7(360)-(28)(60) / 7(60) - (28)²

B=2520 - 1680 /420-784

B=840/-364

B= -2.31

y=A+Bx

y= -8.57 -2.31x

Solve the following equation: lim x->0 sin3x/5x^3-4x.
goblinko [34]
Usual limit of sin is sinX/X--->1, when X--->0

sin3x/5x^3-4x=0/0?, sin3x/3x--->1 when x --->0, so sin3x/5x^3-4x=                    [3x. sin3x / 3x] /(5x^3-4x)=(sin3x / 3x) . (3x/5x^3-4x)
   =(sin3x / 3x) . (3/5x^2- 4)
finally lim  sin3x/5x^3-4x=lim (sin3x / 3x) .(3/5x^2- 4)=1x(3/-4)= - 3/4

Find the intersection points using substitution or elimination for each system of equations:
natka813 [3]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay, so I think I know what the equations are, but I might have misinterpreted them because of the syntax- I think when you ask a question you can use the symbols tool to input it in a more clear way, otherwise you can use parentheses and such.

Problem 1:

(x²)/4 +y²= 1

y= x+1

*substitute for y*

Now we have a one-variable equation we can solve-

x²/4 + (x+1)² = 1

x²/4 + (x+1)(x+1)= 1

x²/4 + x²+2x+1= 1

*subtract 1 from both sides to set equal to 0*

x²/4 +x^2+2x=0

x²/4 can also be 1/4 * x²

1/4 * x² +1*x² +2x = 0

*combine like terms*

5/4 * x^2+2x+ 0 =0

now, you can use the quadratic equation to solve for x

a= 5/4

b= 2

c=0

the syntax on this will be rough, but I'll do my best...

x= (-b ± √(b²-4ac))/(2a)

x= (-2 ±√(2²-4*(5/4)*(0))/(2*(5/4))

x= (-2 ±√(4-0))/(2.5)

x= (-2±2)/2.5

x will have 2 answers because of ±

x= 0 or x= 1.6

now plug that back into one of the equations and solve.

y= 0+1 = 1

y= 1.6+1= 2.6

Hopefully this explanation was enough to help you solve problem 2.

Problem 2:

x² + y² -16y +39= 0

y²- x² -9= 0
