We have been given volume of the cylinder which is 536.94 cubic inches. Now question says to find the radius of the cylinder.

Then we need to use formula of volume of cylinder which is given by :

Volume = \pi r^2 h

We see that there are three unknown values in the formula: {volume, radius-r, height-h}

So to find any one of them we must know other two values.

Volume is given but height is missing. So just for explanation i'm going to use height of the cylinder h= 19 inches

Now plug the value of volume and height in above formula

536.94 = \pi r^2 *19

536.94 = 3.14 r^2 *19

536.94 = 59.66r^2

\frac{536.94}{59.66} =r^2

9=r^2

take square root of both sides

3=r

Hence radius of the cylinder is 3 inches.

Complete parts (a) through (c) below.
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

a)t_{crit}= 1.34

b) t_{crit}=-2.539

c) t_{crit}=\pm 2.228

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a

The significance level given is \alpha=0.1 and the degrees of freedom are given by:

df = n-1= 15

Since we are conducting a right tailed test we need to find a critical value on the t distirbution who accumulates 0.1 of the area in the right and we got:

t_{crit}= 1.34

Part b

The significance level given is \alpha=0.01 and the degrees of freedom are given by:

df = n-1= 20-1=19

Since we are conducting a left tailed test we need to find a critical value on the t distirbution who accumulates 0.01 of the area in the left and we got:

t_{crit}=-2.539

Part c

The significance level given is \alpha=0.05 and \alpha/2 =0.025 and the degrees of freedom are given by:

df = n-1= 11-1=10

Since we are conducting a two tailed test we need to find a critical value on the t distirbution who accumulates 0.025 of the area on each tail and we got:

t_{crit}=\pm 2.228

The diagram shows a right triangle with legs that measure 4 and 7.
anyanavicka [17]

Calculate the hypotenuse( h ) using Pythagoras' identity

h =√(4² + 7²) = √(16 + 49) = √65

sinΘ = 4 / √65  ⇒ cscθ = √65 / 4

cosθ = 7/ √65 ⇒ secθ = √65 / 7

tanθ = \frac{4}{7} ⇒ cotθ = \frac{7}{4}
