Step-by-step explanation:

This is a combination of 7 objects taken 5 at a time

nCr = n! / r! * (n - r)!

7C5 = 7! / (5! (7-5)!)

       = 7! /(5! 2!)

       = (7*6*5*4*3*2*1)

          -----------------------

          5*4*3*2*1  * 2*1

Canceling

In a plane, if two lines are each parallel to a third line, then they are _________ to each other.
iogann1982 [59]
Parallel. This is pretty simple if you either a) Picture it in your head, or b) look at each option logically. lets try out b)

The last option does not really apply to lines, and is for angles. (unless your talking about the adjecent sides of an angle, but this would mean they meet at a vertex) Perpendicular, doesnt make sense because if they were perpindicular on a plane, (2-d) then it would be immpossible for BOTH to be parallel to a third line. This leaves the first option, which makes sense.

If D varies directly as s and D = 140, when S=35 find the relationship between D and S
Olin [163]

Answer:

D = 4s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that D varies directly as s then the equation relating them is

D = ks ← k is the constant of variation

To find k use the condition D = 140 when s = 35

k = \frac{D}{s} = \frac{140}{35} = 4

D = 4s ← equation of variation
