For the first one, with Bob and James, it takes Bob 1 roof for every 16 hours per roof ( 1/10)
James can finish 1 every 16 hours, ( 1/16)
1/10 + 1/16=1/t
8/80 + 5/80=1t
13/80=1t
now you would cross multiply
13(t)=1(80)
13t=80
t=6.15
It would take them 6.15 hours to finish!

A picnic table was originally priced at 40, but Megan waited to buy the picnic table on sale from 75% off. If she paid 10% sale
Mila [183]

Answer:

she spent total price of 13 on the picnic table

Explanation:

Original price of the table = 40

Since she paid 10% of the sale tax after the sale then the total amount she spend is

Discount = (discount percentage – sale tax ) × original price

= (75% -10%) × 40

= 65 % ×40

=\frac{65}{100} \times 40

=26

Hence after the discount amount

Original price – discount price

= 40-26 = 13

Hence she spent total price of 13 on the picnic table
