Since this is an equation you have to get variables and the constants to each side so you would add 5 to the left to cancel the -5 out and REMEMBER TO ALWAYS DO THE SAME TO BOLTH SIDES so add 5 to 0 which is 5 then add the two variables together but DON'T do this on the other side because your just adding to variables which would be 10a so then the problem would look like this 10a=5 then divide booth by 10 so the answer is a=1/2

Given right triangle ABC, what is the value of tan(A)?
Angelina_Jolie [31]
You didn't provide more information regarding triangle but from given options, it seems that triangle has ratio from shortest side to longest side would be 5 : 12 : 13

So 13 would be hypotenuse since it is longest.

Now A cannot be right angle because tangent is not defined at 90°.

Also tan(A) would be ratio of opponent side to adjacent side (think SOH CAH TOA)

So either opposite side would be 5 or 12, and adjacent side would be 12 or 5 respectively.

So the answer is either 5 / 12 or 12 / 5 but only option provided is 12/5 so that would be your answer.

Final answer: 12 / 5

Solve the equation for y.

8x – 9y = 11
SVETLANKA909090 [29]
8x-9y=11

Add 9y to both sides

8x = 11 + 9y

Subtract 11 on both sides

8x - 11 = 9y

Divide 9 on both sides

\boxed{y = \frac{8x-11}{9} }

Ajay Analyzed two companies and has formulated tables to model each company growth, where x represents the age of the companies
loris [4]

If the number of employees is an indicator of a successful business, the company that Ajay should invest is company 1 because it is adding six employees each year while company 2 is multiplying its number of employees by six each year. You can also see form the table above that as the number of years increased, the number of employees also increases. Company 1 and 2 is directly proportional with the number of years and the number of employees.

Hope this helps!
