Answer:

The ratios of the sides of a right triangle are called trigonometric ratios. We need to use trigonometric functions to find them when we don't have any angle other than 90 degree shown.

Three common trigonometric ratios are the sine (sin), cosine (cos), and tangent (tan). These are defined for acute angle.

However when we have one angle given with the 90 degree we can deduct without trigonometry but we would use all angles to find the hypotenuse or all angles to find the side of a right angle.

Alternatively, we cna do this with one given angle but if we have one, we might as well work out the other one without trigonometry and do a division with Sin = 25 (sin 35) sin 90  / sin 55

is one example when given the base 25ft that would find the hypotenuse or the length of elevation for buildings looking down or zip-wire questions.

Step-by-step explanation:

       A

       |  \

       l     \

4cm|        \ 5cm

       |          \

       |            \

   B | -  -  -  -  \ C

          3cm

Suppose we wanted to find sin( A) in△ABC

(The height of the wall in elevation questions would be used above the base shown 3cm at the start) Sin = 3 (sin 35)° sin 90°  / sin 55° to find the height side (4).

Sine is defined as the ratio of the opposite to the hypotenuse

sin(A) =  hypotenuse          = AB/BC        = 3/5

             / opposite

Fabulous fitness charges a one time fee of $90 and an additional $25 per month wonder weights charges a one time fee of only $ 2
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

9 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Fabulous fitness charges a one-time fee of $90 and an additional $25 per month

let the number of months be x

and the total charges be y

y= 25x+90---------1

Wonder weights charges a one-time fee of only $ 27 dollars but charge an additional $32 each month

let the number of months be x

and the total charges be y

y= 32x+27------------2

Required

The value of x, that is the number of months

Step two:

Equating both equations we have

25x+90=32x+27

collect like terms

25x-32x=27-90

-7x=-63

7x=63

divide both sides by  7

x= 63/7

x= 9 months

which statements are true about the graph of the function f(x) = 6x – 4 x2? check all that apply. the vertex form of the functio
Brut [27]

Answer:

The vertex of the function is the point (-3,-13)

The graph increase over the interval--------> (-3,∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

f(x)=6x-4+x^{2}

<u>1) Convert to vertex form</u>

Group terms that contain the same variable, and move the constant to the opposite side of the equation

f(x)+4=x^{2}+6x

Complete the square. Remember to balance the equation by adding the same constants to each side

f(x)+4+9=x^{2}+6x+9

f(x)+13=x^{2}+6x+9

Rewrite as perfect squares

f(x)+13=(x+3)^{2}

f(x)=(x+3)^{2}-13 -----> function in vertex form

<u>2) Find the vertex</u>

The vertex of the function is the point (-3,-13)

<u>3) Find the axis of symmetry</u>

we know that

In a vertical parabola, the axis of symmetry is equal to the x-coordinate of the vertex

The x-coordinate of the vertex in this problem is equal to x=-3

therefore

the equation of the axis of symmetry is  x=-3

<u>4) Find the increase-decrease intervals</u>

The graph increase over the interval--------> (-3,∞)

The graph decrease over the interval--------> (-∞,-3)

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

<u>5) Find the x-intercepts of the function</u>

we know that

the x-intercepts are the values of x when the value of the function is equal to zero

In this problem the x-intercepts are

(-6.61,0) and (0.61,0)

so

The function cross the x-axis twice

see the attached figure
