After the temporary layer is released during the menstrual period the uterine lining is about 2mm thick. When estrogen levels increase the uterine lining regenerates 11mm thick by late in the follicular stage. I hope this helps:)
On day 1 of the menstrual cycle: The menstrual cycle starts with the menstrual phase in which the endometrium lining sheds away due to the absence of fertilization of an egg. In addition, the levels of progesterone and estrogen are also low during this period.
Within 4-5 days the thickness of endometrium lining decreases from around 11 millimeters to 2 millimeters. The average thickness of the endometrium during this period is around 4 millimeter.
Proliferative phase: It follows the menstrual phase during which maturation of follicles takes place. The levels of estrogen also increase during this phase. It starts preparing the endometrium form implantation due to which the thickness of endometrium keeps on increasing.
From 5th to 14th day of the menstrual cycle (proliferative phase) the thickness of endometrium increases from 2 millimeters to 11 millimeters with an average thickness of 6-8 millimeter.
The correct response in this case would be denature, the enzyme will no longer be able to catalyze the reaction if there is an abnormally high change in the pH or the temperature.
