Remember that the average acceleration formula is:

a = \frac{v_2 -v_1}{t_2-t_1}

We have:

V_2 = 4.12\ m/s\\\\V_1 = 0\ m/s

t_2 - t_1 = 4.77\ m/s

a = \frac{4.12-0}{4.77}

a = 0.864\ m/s^2

Now, The equation for the position of a body as a function of time is:

x(t) = V_0t + 0.5at^2 + x_0

Where:

V_0 = initial velocity

x_0 = Initial position

x(4.77) = 0+ 0 + \frac{1}{2}(0.864)(4.77)^2

x = 9.83\ m

The ship has traveled 9.83 m

Determine the total amount of heat, in joules, required to completely vaporize a 50.0-gram sample of h2o(?) at its boiling point
Tanzania [10]
In order to calculate the amount of energy required, we must first check the latent heat of vaporization of water from literature. The latent heat of vaporization of any substance is the amount of energy required per unit mass to convert that substance from a solid to a liquid. For water this is 2,260 J/g. We now use the formula:
Energy = mass * latent heat
Q = 50 * 2,260
Q = 113,000 J

113,000 Joules of heat energy are required.

Scientists plan to release a space probe that will enter the atmosphere of a gaseous planet. The temperature of the gaseous plan
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

Scientists plan to release a space probe that will enter the atmosphere of a gaseous planet. The temperature of the gaseous planet increases linearly with the height of the atmosphere as measured from the top of a visible boundary layer, defined as 0 kilometers in altitude. The instruments on board can withstand a temperature of 601 K. At what altitude will the probe's instruments fail? A. 50 kilometers B. 80 kilometers C. 83 kilometers D. 100 kilometers E. 111 kilometers

Explanation:

A. 50 kilometers

From laboratory measurements, we know that a particular spectral line formed by hydrogen appears at a wavelength of 486.1 nanome
aksik [14]

Answer:

The star is moving toward us

Explanation:

The wavelength of a distant object changes due to the change in the distance between the observer and the object. This is known as the Doppler effect.

If the wavelength decreases this means that the wavelength in going towards blue which is shorter wavelength. This is known as blue shift. If blue shift occurs then it means that the object is coming closer to the observer.

Hence, the star described here has blue shifted and is moving closer to us.
