Answer:

The relative speed of the passing car is 13 miles per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

v =  \frac{x}{t} \\  v = 13 \frac{mile}{hours}  \\ t = 1 \: min \:  =  \frac{1}{60}  \: hours \\ 13 =  \frac{x}{ \frac{1}{60} }  \\ 13 =  \frac{60 \: x}{1}  \\ x =  \frac{13}{60} miles \:  \\ and \: we \: are \: done.

i hope i have been useful buddy.

good luck ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.

-1/2y=1/2x+5 and y=2x+2
Anettt [7]

I assume this is the intersection of two lines, i.e. -1/2y is (-1/2)y.  Please tell me if it's really -1/(2y).

(-1/2)y=(1/2)x+5

Multiplying both sides by -2

y = - x - 10

The other equation is

y = 2x + 2

We can equate them to find the meet

y = - x - 10 = 2x + 2

-3x = 12

x = -4

y = 2x + 2 = -6

Check:  (-1/2)y=3, (1/2)x+5=3, equal, good

2x+2=2(-4)+2=-6=y, good

Answer: x=-4, y=-6
